"You keep it together for your children. Your colleagues. Your mother. Everyone except the person who needs it most — you."

The reality no one talks about

Over 75% of Kenyan women who need mental health support never receive it. Not because they don't want it — because the system wasn't built for them. Too expensive. Too far. Too stigmatised. Too Western.

Here, it's different. Your counsellor was born into the same world you live in. They understand your family, your faith, your obligations, and what it means to carry all of this without a single person noticing how heavy it's gotten.

Three steps

Between you and
feeling less alone.

No clinical intake forms. No waiting rooms. No explaining yourself to someone who has never been to Kenya. Just a safe, private conversation — whenever you're ready.

01

Tell us what's happening

Fill in a short form — takes three minutes. Be as specific or as vague as you need. No wrong answers. The team reads every submission personally and matches you with the counsellor whose expertise fits.

02

Meet your therapist — free

Your first 30-minute session costs nothing. No credit card. No obligation. It's a chance to see if this counsellor is the right person for you — before any money changes hands.

03

Begin, on your terms

If it feels right, choose a plan. Video, phone, or chat — whatever format lets you be most honest. M-Pesa or card. If the fit wasn't right, you get matched again. No charge, no questions.

Therapy

Questions

Everything you're
wondering about
before you start.

There's no wrong question. If yours isn't here, email us directly at hello@teletherapycounsellors.com

Is the first session really free?
Yes. Completely free. Thirty minutes with a qualified counsellor, no credit card, no commitment. If it doesn't feel like the right fit, you won't be charged — and the team will match you with someone else at no cost.
Will anyone know I'm in therapy?
No one. All sessions are completely confidential and held to HIPAA-aligned security standards. Nothing you share leaves the session without your explicit consent — the only exception is an immediate risk of serious harm, which all licensed therapists are legally required to report.
What if I don't know what's wrong?
That's one of the most common reasons people book. You don't need a diagnosis or a list of symptoms. "I haven't felt like myself for a while" is enough. Your therapist is trained to help you figure out what's happening — that's their job, and it starts in your first session.
Can I pay with M-Pesa?
Yes. M-Pesa is accepted for all plans. Card payments are also available. You'll receive payment details after your free session and deciding to continue.
What if I'm not in Kenya?
The Flourish plan was built specifically for Kenyan women in the diaspora — women who want a therapist who understands their background, their family dynamics, and what it means to be Kenyan abroad. Sessions run online, at a time that works for your time zone.
Do I have to keep using the same therapist?
No. If a match doesn't feel right after your free session, you'll be paired with someone else — at no cost. And if your needs or preferences change later, you can always request a different therapist. Consistency helps, but not at the cost of the right fit.

The version of you
that exhales — she's
closer than you think.

Your first session is free. Your counsellor is Kenyan. Your information is safe. And you deserve this.
